Vancouver Island

The community
of Sooke is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island
and is accessible by ferry, from both the BC mainland and
Washington State, as well as by air.
Car and passenger
ferry services are offered through BC Ferries, departing from
Tswwassen (near Vancouver) on the mainland and docking at
Swartz Bay, just north of Victoria. Public transportation
and coach bus service is available to and from Swartz Bay
from Victoria. Pacific Coach Lines actually services a route
between downtown Vancouver and downtown Victoria which includes
your transportion on the ferry in their fare.
Domestic and International
flights arrive and depart through the Victoria International
Airport, which is located near Sidney, just north of Victoria.
Float plane services also shuttle passengers between Vancouver
and Victoria, offering downtown harbourfront services in each
city.
The Victoria Clipper
is a passenger-only catamaran service from Seattle's waterfront
and downtown Victoria. The scenic trip takes approximately
three hours.
Once you are in
Victoria, travel west on Highway 14 to reach the community
of Sooke. Public bus transportation is easily accessible from
downtown Victoria to Sooke as well. Many of our buses offer
bike racks too, in order to accommodate traveling cyclists.
